Sean Dailey, Ph.D.

Sean Dailey is the Founder and Principal of Dailey Results Consulting. He attained his doctorate from UCLA in Counseling Psychology and completed his internship and clinical research at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, California.  After 5 years in the clinical and sports psychology realm, Sean entered Corporate America as an industrial/organizational psychologist for the Boeing Aircraft Company.  His initial assignment was in Organizational Effectiveness, but he was soon asked to lead a group in Operations and Production on the Boeing 767.  While continuing to lead the Inventory, Shop Floor Control, and MRP Groups, Sean had an opportunity to go to Japan and become certified in Lean Manufacturing.  After 3 years in operations and production, Sean returned to work at the newly constructed Boeing Leadership Center as a Curriculum Designer and Head of Executive Coaching.  Sean continued teaching and designing courses for the Executive Program while coaching at the Leadership Center for another year of his 5-year tenure at the Boeing Company.

Sean joined Intel and created the first international leadership development program as well as the first executive coaching program while working on the Corporate Leadership Team in the US, China, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Ireland, Israel, and the Philippines.

For the next 15 years, Sean was the SVP of Organization Development and Training at Fox where he created a comprehensive leadership development program, introduced executive coaching, and provided customized solutions to a variety of business issues.  Technology was a cornerstone of his team as they launched the first automated performance management system (worldwide) and introduced Harvard eLearning and Digital Tutors as eLearning options.  His innovative team designed unique courses that focused on the combination of education and entertainment; one example of this “edutainment” is seen in two courses where the Groundlings Improvisation Performers taught communication under pressure…yes, on a stage.  Another unique training and team building option that the OD and training team developed was the Fox Interactive Training (FIT) program where Habitat for Humanity and other community building organizations were paired with Fox work groups for team challenges and team building sessions.  The quarterly speaker series hosted noted thought leaders such as Coach John Wooden, Linda Hill, Marshall Goldsmith, and Daniel Pink. Sean’s team developed and taught “sold out” courses around the world.  All the while the executive coaching practice flourished and became the top-rated option of all items from which to choose for executive development.

Sean continues to be involved with UCLA on a research team as well as a guest lecturer.  He’s been the keynote speaker for the largest executive coaching conference in the country for the Conference Board in NYC and has worked with MIT in their media lab consulting on research related to executive coaching efficacy measures.

You can always find Sean training for some sort of competition as he was a previous member of the US National Team in Swimming, US National Lifeguard Champion, completed the Ironman (2.4 mi swim, 112 mi bike, and 26.2 mi run), and has peaked Kilimanjaro in a day and a half.
